The Florida legislative session that ended on March 19 was another banner year for the Florida Apartment Association. FAA successfully lobbied in favor of key issues and opposed a laundry list of bad bills that could have harmed the apartment industry. Amanda Gill reported on the results of FAA's advocacy efforts on an update call on March 26. A recording of the call is available to FAA members
here
.
(Please note, you will need to be logged into the FAA website in order to access this link.)
"As we reflect on the association's advocacy successes in 2020, we want to stress that this success would not have been possible without the FAA members who traveled to Tallahassee for our annual legislative conference and lobby day," Gill said. "Your advocacy efforts played a valuable role in educating legislators about our legislative priorities. Thank you once again to everyone who attended this year’s event!"

Exhibit Hall Hours Extended for FAA Annual Conference & Trade Show
The exhibit hall at the 2020 FAA Annual Conference & Trade Show will be open for two additional hours, the FAA Conference Committee has decided. The committee met in January to determine speakers, session topics, trade show hours, and other particulars. The extended trade show hours are in response to post-conference survey feedback from attendees as well as exhibitors. The committee also took into consideration the larger exhibit hall floor plan. The additional hours will not conflict with education offerings. The trade show will be open for a total of seven and a half hours.
For new hours, view the updated 2020 prospectus.
