FAA Launches New Maintenance Series at 2019 Annual Conference & Trade Show
FAA is offering three maintenance-related education sessions led by industry experts at the 2019 FAA Annual Conference & Trade Show. The sessions will replace the Maintenance Mania event and offer maintenance professionals an opportunity to hear about new technologies and other ways to help operations run more effectively.
Discover how to stay ahead of service requests, repairs and capital projects, learn about the life cycle of a building, and hear from an expert panel how regular maintenance can save you time and money.
Registration is now open.
Legislative Update Emails
FAA has been sending out weekly email session updates to keep members in-the-know about FAA’s priority pieces of legislation.
During the last few weeks of session, committees took action on FAA priority legislation and other bills that could impact the apartment industry. View the latest session updates here to learn about the status of three pieces of FAA’s priority legislation: reducing emotional support animal fraud and abuse, clarifying the impact fee process, and prohibiting mandatory inclusionary zoning.
In an effort to help you stay up to date, FAA also added a new page to the FAA website titled "2019 Legislation Tracker." Click here to visit this new page for a comprehensive list of the legislation that FAA is tracking this session.
If you aren’t receiving the weekly session update emails, or if you have any questions regarding the legislative process, contact FAA Government Affairs Director Amanda Gill at Amanda@faahq.org.

PSC Name Change Proposal
The FAA Product/Service Council (PSC) proposed a name change to Florida Suppliers Council (FSC) at the January 2019 PSC meeeting. The name change was proposed to better reflect the purpose of the council and stay consistent with NAA's National Suppliers Council (NSC). The name change will be put to a vote at the May 22 FAA Board of Directors meeting.
