Committees serve as vital engines for progress within an association. Whether comprised of volunteers or appointed members, they are structured to focus on key tasks aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. Their work often informs or influences critical decisions made by the association’s leadership, such as officers and the board of directors.

Members are welcome and encouraged to volunteer for an FAA Committee or Task Force. The call for volunteer sign-ups takes place each October for the upcoming service year.

Cultivating the next generation of leaders is a critical component of the association’s strategic vision. Identifying individuals with leadership potential and equipping them with targeted training ensures alignment with the association’s mission and vision. This process also helps participants discover the roles and areas within the organization that best match their unique strengths and skills, fostering both personal growth and organizational resilience.
Leadership Lyceum gives up to 27 individuals the opportunity to learn about the association and enhance progression volunteer leadership within the association. This collaborative, year-long program brings you face-to-face with various professionals across the state to exchange knowledge and experiences. Learn More!

The LEAD Task Force is proud to support the professional growth of FAA members through two exciting scholarship opportunities:

  • Leadership Lyceum Scholarship

  • Professional Credential or Designation Scholarship 

Both scholarships include a mentor and are designed to empower emerging leaders and professionals seeking to enhance their association and industry knowledge.
