The Florida Apartment Association is actively recruiting volunteers for service on its committees, councils, and task forces in 2026. In most instances, volunteers are selected based on the needs of the applicable committee. Prior experience volunteering for one of FAA's nine affiliated local associations is a plus, but not required to serve.

Please use the drop downs below to learn more about each of FAA's committees and councils, including criteria (if applicable), a brief description of the committee's purview, and the FAA staff liaison(s).

Limited time to volunteer? This year we are launching a new way for FAA members to contribute their time and talents as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). SMEs may be called on for their input and expertise on specific content, initiatives, legislative priorities, or for tailored "meet ups" to workshop common or emerging industry challenges. Simply complete the volunteer interest form and select each of the "Areas of Expertise" that you have formal training or extensive expertise with.

The deadline to express interest in serving is November 11, 2025, but candidates are encouraged to submit the Volunteer Interest Form as soon as possible as some appointments may be made prior to the deadline.
