Fellow FAA Leaders:
2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the prestigious Hall of Fame's first inductees, Dave Watkins and Harry Heist! During this storied history, 23 outstanding leaders have been inducted and it is a "who's who" of titans in our association and our industry that have made their mark.
My fellow Committee members and I know that we have our work cut out for us this summer as we consider potential nominees for induction at Inspire this year. The Florida Apartment Association has a deep bench of volunteer leaders who are engaged, moving the needle, and most importantly - blazing a trail for future leaders. The Committee is asking for your help with this daunting task by submitting nominees for consideration this year!
For your convenience, we have provided some important details about criteria, who can submit, and the information that must be included below. Remember, per policy, nominations are secret and candidates should not be notified that they are under consideration. You can review the full Hall of Fame policy here.
- Nominee can be a current or former property management member, associate [supplier] member, or association executive
- Nominee should have long term involvement with the Florida Apartment Association
- Nominee must have made a lasting positive impact on FAA, our members, and the industry
- Hall of Fame Committee members
- Current members of the FAA Board of Directors
- FAA Past Presidents
- Hall of Fame Inductees
- Association Executives with FAA affiliated local associations
- Letter of recommendation outlining the nominees involvement, impact, etc.
- Optional: Supporting letters
- Optional: Nominee head shot
